BIBURY, COTSWOLDS AND THE FAMOUS ARLINGTON ROW | ENGLAND

Welcome to Bibury, Gloucestershire! If you’re a travel fanatic, I’m sure you’ve seen photos of Bibury before. The famous row of cottages that date back to the 14th century, known as Arlington Row, is probably familiar. Bibury is one of the most popular villages in the Cotswolds. This became obvious shortly after we arrived, as a giant tour bus dropped off dozens of people ready to snap photos of this iconic village. It was a bit overwhelming, as this village is TINY. However, it’s too perfect to not see if you’re visiting the Cotswolds.

Originally a wool store, Arlington Row was converted into weavers houses in the late 17th century. This area is owned by the National Trust.

Arlington Row isn’t the only beautiful part of Bibury. There are some gorgeous properties nearby, made up of the classic Cotswold Limestone.

The river that runs through Bibury is called the River Coln, a Thames River tributary.

If you want to stay in Bibury, the most popular location is the Swan Hotel right in the center of the village. This 4-star hotel is beautiful and in a perfect location to visit other Cotswold villages!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this look around Bibury! Check out my other England blog posts through the destinations tab.

Cheers!
