TOURING THE ROYAL PALACE OF AMSTERDAM

Located at the center of Amsterdam, and on the western side of Dam Square, the Royal Palace of Amsterdam stands tall and attracts many visitors.  During the Dutch Golden Age (17th century), the Royal Palace of Amsterdam was used as the city hall, and was later turned into the palace of King Louis Napoleon, but is now currently the palace of the Dutch Royal House.  The palace is open to visitors, unless it is being used for Royal Events like special receptions hosted by the King.  The current Royal Family, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima Zorreguieta, and their three children use the Huis ten Bosch (translated as “house at Bosch”), located in The Hague, as their primary residence.
