AN EASY HALF-DAY TRIP FROM SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

If you’re visiting Sydney and want an escape from the big city, I highly recommend taking a ferry to one of the surrounding areas. We went to Manly, a cute residential town with a great nature walk and private coves.

From Circular Quay, take a tap-on ferry to Manly Wharf. It takes about 20 minutes, and the Circular Quay terminals are easy to find. The tickets are also very cheap (~$7 USD).

The bonus is you’ll get a scenic water tour of the city. :)

Once you get the Manly, stop at the grocery store on the Corso and grab a picnic lunch. You can hang out at Manly Beach, or do what we did which was walk Marine Parade path to Blue Fish Track.

From there, you can walk down to Collins Beach, a private cove perfect for swimming, eating said picnic lunch, even napping… :)

As always, leave a comment if you go!

Cheers,

K
