SEEING AMSTERDAM BY FOOT

With a full day to tour Amsterdam, we decided to enjoy the beautiful day and see the city by foot.  We explored the bicycle-lined canals and took in the culture that surrounded us.  Here’s what we saw!

The Statue of Multatuli, who was a famous Dutch writer known for his novel Max Havelaar (1860)

“Amsterdam loves bikes” is a very true statement. Pictured here is a “parking” garage for bikes only! Following Copenhagen, Amsterdam is the second largest biking city in the world.

The national flag of The Netherlands flap over the streets of Amsterdam. The farthest flag (the red and black flag with white x’s) is the flag of Amsterdam.
