MOUNTAIN BIKING IN LAUTERBRUNNEN

On this day, we rented mountain bikes from a shop in Lauterbrunnen and used a series of trains to get to the start of a trail which took us to another station, and eventually we ended up in Grindelwald.

From Grindelwald, we took a lift up to First (pronounced Fierst).  Here we decided to go ziplining before we continued over the mountain to a beautiful spot for lunch.  After we filled our bellies, we rode all the way down to Meiringen, a larger town near Brienz, Switzerland.

Once in Meiringen, we rode about 20 miles to the town of Brienz and enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Lake Brienz and its crystal clear mountain water.  It was time at that point to take the train back to Lauterbrunnen and return our bikes.  What a day!
