MONTALCINO, Tuscany | Italy

Montalcino is an unbelievably beautiful Tuscan wine town on a hillside.  Sounds like something out of a movie, right? This town is famous for their Brunello wine and there are countless shops downtown that proudly sell this local delicacy.  One of the main attractions in Montalcino is the “Fortezza”, or the “fortress” in English.  This eye-catching structure was built in 1361.  It was actually the last fortezza of the “Republic of Seina’s resistance against the Medici conquest” (https://www.visittuscany.com/en/attractions/montalcino-fortress/).  The sights from the town are stunning, although the walking can be tough at times are there are steep hills on cobblestone streets.  Check out the pictures from this day!
