LONDON IN NOVEMBER | BOROUGH MARKET, BELSIZE PARK, AND MORE.

Visiting London in mid November is a treat - the crowds are lower and the Christmas lights are just beginning to be lit. We started this trip by visiting the Regent’s Canal Walk in the Islington area. There are many houseboats on the canal, and even a boat bookshop (Word on the Water- the London Bookbarge)! People do run/bike on the path, although it can be crowded, especially in the morning. I’d recommend it for walking.

Next, we took the Tube over to Belsize Park, a leafy, village-like area in northwest London. Between Hampstead and Camden, it attracts families and creatives who prefer relaxed charm to tourist crowds. We stopped in Oliver’s Cafe and Sable d’Or for some bits.

I popped over to Bond Street to see some of the Christmas lights:)

The Angel/Islington area is often where I stay to be close to a friend, but also because of it’s central location & proximity to some of my favorite places. There are a lot of Americans and Aussies in this area. :) The Breakfast Club is a chain around London that has a wonderful breakfast, and Compane is a delicious coffee shop in Camden Passage in Angel. Pophams is the top fave.

The next day, we started with a wander through Chelsea to see some beautiful architecture.

We then walked across the river to Battersea Park and the Battersea Power Station.

Battersea Power Station is an iconic London landmark — a hulking brick-clad former coal-fired power plant with four instantly recognizable chimneys. Restored and reinvented as a lively mixed-use complex on the south bank of the Thames, it now houses shops, restaurants, offices, cultural spaces, and riverside promenades while retaining striking industrial architecture and Art Deco details. Visitors can admire panoramic views from rooftop terraces, explore curated galleries and events, and stroll the landscaped Battersea Park nearby. Whether you love architecture, history, or just a scenic spot for coffee by the river, Battersea Power Station blends bold heritage with modern vibrancy.

Thanks, AI.

After all the buzz, I had to try the Creme Brulee donuts from Bread Ahead Bakery in Borough Market. They were pretty delicious, not going to lie. You will have to queue. ;)

For dinner, we checked out Tattu, a modern Chinese restaurant serving small plates, signature cocktails, and artful presentations. 7.5/10

Lastly, we headed over to Fulham for the first time and fell in love! The area is charming yet vibrant, and Craven Cottage is my new favorite stadium.

Hope you enjoyed this post! London is always a good idea. :)
