EXPLORING MÜRREN AND GIMMELWALD

On July 9th, we decided to take the train down from Wengen to Lauterbrunnen.  From there we took a series of lifts and trains up to Mürren.

After arriving in Mürren, we walked across the mountainside to an even smaller village called Gimmelwald (walk time: approximately 40 minutes).  The town is beautifully simplistic and quaint.  We stopped for lunch at a small restaurant/hotel called Pension Gimmelwald.  We sat on the patio which had a fantastic view of the mountains and valley below.

After lunch, we headed back to Wengen by lift/bus.  The views were memorable all day and the weather was perfect.
